The Father is a movie that came out in the Month of May 2021 with its key actors being Anthony Hopkins and Olive Colman.
Story: The Father is a story of a daughter struggling with a father who is battling with mental health. Anthony Hopkins plays the character of a father who rejects his daughter’s recommendation for him to be tended to by a care-taker. Through out the movie Anthony Hopkins’ condition slowly deteriorates through different stages of dementia and his family constantly struggles to know how to help him. Writer-director Florian Zeller did a fine job of taking the audience on a fantastic journey in the disturbed mental world of Anthony Hopkins blurring the lines between his past, present and future.
