One of Uganda’s biggest fuel suppliers Vivo Energy Uganda has announced a new Managing Director Johan Grobbelaar to take over operations after promoting Gilbert Assi who has been the MD.
Vivo Energy Uganda, the company that distributes and markets Shell branded fuels and lubricants, has appointed a new managing director to steer the company ahead. Johan Grobbelaar has been announced to be the new Managing Director taking over from Gilbert Assi who has done a tremendous job in Kampala. Gilbert Assi has been given a new assignment equally having been recently appointed the new Managing Director for Vivo Energy Guinea.

The team has delivered innovative solutions to customers in the country, and we will continue to push the boundary to delight our Retail and Commercial customers in the months and years to come.” Johan Grobbelaar said.
Johan joined the Vivo Energy Group in 2013, and was most recently Regional Project Manager. He was previously Managing Director, Vivo Energy Zimbabwe and prior to that Managing Director, Vivo Energy Namibia. Since joining the Group he has been instrumental in driving growth.
